I've been taking photos on and off for about five years, uploading my first railway pics to a basic gallery hosted on a free service. As my photography progressed, so too did my frustration at the service being provided by the free host. At the end of 2007 I bit the bullet, and created the first incarnation of this website. It's changed heavily in the last year and a bit though and you probably wouldn't recognise it from how it was to start with. The website is written in PHP and MySQL langauges, running on an Apache web server.

All the photos are taken using a Nikon D80, processed using Adobe Lightroom and then uploaded at around 850px by 570px. Photos are now edited using a 2.4Ghz 15" MacBook Pro. The photos are compressed slightly to ease loading times on the site, so please contact me if you would like a full, un-watermarked image.

Aside from railway photography, I'm involved with the operations team on the volunteer staffed Mid Norfolk Railway and an active member of the Class 56 Group, owners of 56040 based at the MNR. See the links page for the web addresses of these two groups.
