Due to faliure of the booked Class 90, in this case 90004, 47813 was scrambled from Colchester to work 1P46, the 1700 service from London. The train is seen passing Mellis, near Diss, just after 1820, powering along nicely!

Now the days are getting longer, it is possible to capture the 5P98 Ilford Wheel Lathe - Norwich Crown Point tyre turning move on the Northern part of the Great Eastern Mainline... Here, 90028 (the 6th EWS class 90 to work in Anglia this year) passes Mellis with just two MK3 coaches in tow.
